Default New Guy, needs Audi......

Hi Y'all.

I just landed a job in Chicago, and neither of my two Mustangs are up to the task of daily driving in the city. I've had a laundry list of cars, and quite frankly the Quattro Audi's are of great interest to me. I'm looking for something used & reasonable, say under 15k. Any advice regarding the good/bad/etc is greatly appreciated.

welcome, I would direct you to our classified section if you scroll down the main page and you can look around there

I would suggest either a B5 S4 (2000-2002) or a B6 A4 (2002-2006) for your car of choice, the S4 will be faster but the B6 would be newer if that matters to you.

Thanks for the advice. I've also been seeing that the 2000-2003 A6's are coming in right at the same price. I'm trying to figure out which would be the best bang for the buck between the A4 & A6

depends on what you need it for, the A6 is bigger and will have more room but thew A4 is more nimble both are good cars

I'm looking for a comforatble daily driver that can get out of its own way. I checked the dimensions and there's about a foot in lenght between the two. I have a 64.5 & 97 Mustang, both stick v8 cars, so those are my toys. The audi will be stock, or close to and I'm looking at Quattro, automatic cars.

This will be the car that I take staff & clients out in, which I suppose is why I might lean twoards a little more room. I just need to be able to park it in the city.

If your gonna have people riding in the back seat, I would go with the A6. Rear seat leg room in an A4=[:'(]

although i don't own a newer a6, i've driven in one and man are they nice daily drivers. i drive my avant 22 miles to work and 22 miles home every day/night and it's very comfortable. i've had big people get into it and comment on how great the leg space is and i've already put the seats down and put the cargo space to good use. oh and, i'm 5'11" and i can lay down fully spread out in the cargo space (with seats down.)

Thanks for the input. I used to sleep in my 525iT like that all the time, it was a great road trip car. It's a shame the newer A6 Avants are so scarce, I'd live to pick on up.
