Just making this my introductory post into the Audi forums being a new owner.
I have recently purchased an '01 A6 2.7T in Melange Metalic With Melange interior. Stock everything, 92k miles. Unfortunately, after buying it today, my father drove it home and immediately I knew something was up. White Smoke from the exhaust. When we got home, I asked him to rev the engine a little, and immediately I could tell it was the turbos. We called the guy we bought it from, and he said he would have no problem covering the cost for new ones given that is the diagnosed problem. So, weird day, but still feels awesome to be a new owner. Hopefully make some new friends and get some good tips!
