I just picked up a 1998 A4 Quattro 1.8T with a snapped timing belt for a pretty good price. It has the tiptronic in it and that's all I know so far. I sent it right to a mechanic who is replacing the bent valves and giving it the once over as it's been sitting for a bit. 98k miles, not bad I thought. The seller also said it had the 'sport' package but I'm not sure if that was bull or real. I haven't driven it so I'm kind of anxious to get it back and see what it has to offer.

He said next week maybe Thursday, I have to sit tight until then.

I guess you could say I bought the car blind, but reading this forum made me feel like I going to like the car.
