Default Newbie Windshield Washers Frozen?

Driving on NYS Thruway at 65 mph the windshield washers suddenly stop working although I can hear the pump humming. Called nearest Audi service (Pittsfield, MA) and was told spigots most probably frozen. Also made sure there was plenty of fluid in res. Only after keeping car in heated garage overnite did they function again.

This is important issue as I'm often driving in snow/slush and need the washers working for clear visibility.

My question: This is the 6th car I've owned of various makes and models and is the first one to have this problem of frozen spigots. Is this typical of Audi's or is there something wrong with mine?

I would say it was probably low quality washer fluid. If it's watered down to muhc by the company it will freeze
