i picked up my new 2001 a4 avant 1.8q last night. i freaking love it! my previous car was an 89 bmw 325iX which i loved and was totally into, but the repairs were getting to me. plus it had 213000 miles. the engine responses are very different though. im still getting used to the 1.8 turbo as the straight 6 in the iX had different acceleration characteristics, much more linear. but love the fact that its newer quiter more comfortable and more space. i probably wont mod it too much as the engine works just fine. anyway just saying hello. cheers.

 

yep big difference with the inline 6 pack on the BMW but the move to the 1.8T is a big impact and its a good feel, welcome
