Default Question bout gas pedal

Hey everybody...new to AF..i have an A4 1.8t. Well, my question is this.... i recently had my car serviced for an oil change at a regular oil mechanic shop. When I got the car back, it was fine. Then during that week, i noticed that the gas pedal keeps sinking in more and more each day. By the fifth day that i got it back from the shop for the oil change, the gas pedal has sunk downwards about 1 1/2". It is not flush with my brake and clutch pedal anymore. The rpm is higher when i step on gas and my car does not seem to have any power when i floor it because it is already so close to the back. Help?? Thx.

What year is it? ATW engines used electronic throttle control, but the AEB engine had a mechanical linkage.
