timing belt

I have a 2002 A4 1.8. What should I expect a timing belt replace to cost me? I think I have a problem with mechanic overcharge. Audifreak

i paid almost $700 for a 30v. but i quoted around and got prices ranging from $600 to $1300.. get everything done..

belt
water pump
thermostat
Tensioner Roller
Tensioner
Idler Roller
and in some cases rear main oil seal.

OMG ! you guys bought the parts and exchange them urself or that the total costs are mostly labor costs ?? OMFG

I don't know how to do the work myself, sooooo is this just parts or parts AND labor?

if you know how to do a timing belt job, you can save a lot of money, but it has to be done right
