turbo/injectors/tuning; new to this platform
I've retired my last AWD boosted Mitsubishi for hopes of meeting my current needs with this platform.
I'll be picking up one of the three 97-99 A4 Q 1.8T's on either Tuesday or Wednesday, and hope to have some parts on their way before the ink dries on the title...
I have been looking for a reason to try out one of Turbonetics "new" GT-K snails, and assume my new Audi will approve with the plethora of supporting mods it will take to fully realize the potential.

I'm coming up with 800-ish fuel injectors/VR6 MAF/TB/007 large port IMwith this Turbo. Does this sound close to "right" also, what are my best options for engine management? I interpret that you guys extensively use reflashed/chipped factory ecu's rathe3r than infinitely adjustable "piggyback" controllers such as SAFC II, emanage/EMU, MAP ECU? Has anyone TRIED to use any of these typical Jap-import tuning devices and what was the outcome?
BTW, do you use your MAF in draw through, blow through or either configuration? And are there any negative effects by running your BOV open atmosphere -vs- recirc?
Sorry to introduce myself with nothing more than a butt-load of questions, but I am VERY eager to jump in to my next project here, as I'm 35 going on 18.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice, and yes, I intend on rebuilding my lower end with Scat rods/new bearings before the big snail goes on.
