I'm not new to the car scene, but I'm new to Audi's. I'm looking to buy something nice for daily driving and will most probably lightly mod. Wheels and performance c/o's at most. The car MIGHT be taken out to a road course, just to see what it can do...but for the most part, I'm leaving that fun stuff with my Subaru.

All that being said, what are some things to look for with Audi in particular when buying used? I want to know what are some of the ins and outs as to what normally goes wrong during a span of 100k miles, assuming no engine mods were done on the car. What's the hardest maintenance (most tedious and annoying) anyone has to do on the car? For my Subaru, spark plugs are a pain in the ***, what's the pain in the *** maintenance for Audi's? What are the common warranty type issues that AoA generally sees?

My target car is a 2000+ S4, automatic so my wife can drive it.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Links for reading material to my questions and concerns above are more-so appreciated.

I'm in the same boat. Looking at a B6 1.8T Avant with premium and S-line package tonight. New to Audi's as well but lots of experience with E46 BMW's. One thing I liked about owning a BMW is that owners are all over the forums. Post a question or troubleshoot on the site and you get 10 responses within 30 minutes. I'm worried from the few posts I've looked at on the Audi forums that there isn't much activity. Am I right? Oh, and also all the same questions of the OP ha ha.
