What are my right's as a leaser
I was about to lease a new S4 today. The dealer faxed me a credit application, along with a permission slip for them to check my credit as well as a credit card receipt for me to sign for the $500 deposit. But on top of that they faxed me a Lease agreement which basically had the VIN number of a car that on paper was what I wanted, but have never driven. The agreement was only the front side (I know there was a back side because it referenced it on the front), and it basically said that I am agreeing to lease this vehicle when I sign the page and the only way for the agreement to be void is if they fail to aquire approval from their bank for the lease.
So this was very odd to me because he never told me to expect that in the fax. I did not sign it, because I would never sign for a car I have not personally driven. Who knows what could be wrong with this brand new car. When I called him and said I'd send him in all the other stuff signed but the agreement and just to run the credit, he kept saying I should sign this agreement and it would be non binding. I kept pointing out that the damn thing said in plain english it was binding and that what was the point of signing it if it was not binding?
In any event we agreed I would come in tomorrow and personally drive the car. But to be honest, I think this is wrong. I think they should be able to run my credit and make sure they're happy with this before I come in and take my time to do this. I just feel like they were trying to pull a fast one on me with that move and now I am not so sure I trust them to even lease at all.
Thoughts?

well i think you would get a lot better response for this in the appropriate section.. Sounds like a typical salesman.. and yes if its legally binding then its legally binding.. dont let common sense be the first one to leave the showroom floor
