Default What up from the Big D!

I am a New Yorker transplanted in Dallas, TX. I got here as fast as I could twice.

In college, I used to participate in illegal speed contests (according to my misdemeanor allegations) and then brought it to the track. I was part of the Fast and Furious generation before the movies came out with a very sweet and highly modified in performance, suspension, and aesthetics 1995 Acura Integra GSR that I modified very tastefully to most enthusiasts.

During my mid to late 20's, I was looking for an extra adrenaline rush and found refuge in a Triumph Daytona 675, also modified tastefully in a sport touring style. I lived through one major accident and fixed the motorcycle back to original shape to much of my families chagrin. The motorcycle was stolen and I used the insurance proceeds to get engaged.

Yata yata yata, I am now married and still dream of two wheels, but after a recent car accident (this one not my fault) I fell in love with a used 2007 Audi A3 2.0T Manual with the S package, open sky system, and Xenon headlights on Craigslist.

I have had the car 1 month, and wife + work willing, it will become my sleek speed machine. I have already done a few things, but not planning on dropping a lot of money on it.

1. Changed the daytime running lights to PIAA Plasma White
2. Changed the fog lights to a PIAA plasma Yellow bulb
3. Replaced the cabin air filter (with instructions found on this forum)
4. Bought a K&N high flow filter (Typhoon cold air will have to wait)
5. Took care of the "open campaign" of coil springs as Audi says referring to a recall.
6. Bought an VAG-COM cable and reader (a $ Saver idea from this forum)
7. Tinted windows to 20% all around and tinted both sun roofs
8. Removed the A3 and 2.0T badges with dental floss for a cleaner look

Future Plans:
1. Replace Spark Plugs
2. Replace/Upgrade Brakes
3. Chip
4. Typhoon air intake
5. Update shocks and sway bars

Trying to keep it real ladies and Gents - Ray
