Default Why am I here?

Hey all,
This is kind of weird as I do not really own an Audi, but am looking for help. Well, I own part of one anyway. I have a 1993 Suzuki Sidekick with a Audi 1.8t in it. I did not install the engine so I am working through figuring out exactly what he did.

My main issue is the VEMS ecu he used. I am looking for some base config files to start tunning on. other than that it runs pretty good and is very quick. I was able to smoke a WRX(non STI) the other day. Surprised the heck out of the guy too.

Willkommen to the forums!

that is a very...interesting(?)...hybridized bastard vehicle you got going on there. I must admit, I kinda like it. Not sure what would possess anyone to build it on purpose though. you aren't close to any pulp mills are you? i understand that pulp mill fumes can have weird effects on the human brain

anyway, we have some pretty knowledgeable 1.8T guys here. check the A4 sections. I'm sure you can find some assistance there. unfortunately, when someone "creates" a vehicle such as yours, there is a lot of non-standard engineering that takes place. I definitely don't envy you having to learn as you go. our friggin cars are complicated enough in their "standard" form

good luck

have fun

So, its been a while and I have some updates. I found a VEMS forum with a lot of great info. Started to figure out the ECU programing. I have a ton more work to do but it's getting better. Took the car on a run a month ago and it was a blast. Drove 200 miles to the camp site, drove around all weekend until I blew up the front 3rd member. Luckily just took it out of 4wd and was able to drive home. Got almost 20M.P.G. on the way home. I need to get my A/F gauge working so I can properly tune it.

Here is a little video of my ride back to camp after I broke the car. There was another Suzuki there with a 300 HP V-6. We had a ton of fun chasing each other around and driving way to fast for gravel(100-120M.P.H.)
Another of me failing at doughnuts.
