Looking to acquire a KO4 turbo for my b7 a4

I can't really help you, but did some quick research. From CTS Turbo, it looks like the K04 from a S3 is modified to fit:
CTS Turbo B7 A4 2.0 BorgWarner K04 Turbo Upgrade Kit
This is the "base" K04 used in that kit:
Borg Warner K04-0064 2.0T OEM Audi S3 6F145702C
So I guess my point is, it doesn't look like there is a non-modified K04 that will be a direct bolt-on to your B7 A4... you might need a kit or to buy a used/already-modified kit.
I did find this which makes the install look like a direct bolt-on:
