Default Is it possible to add a turbo charger to my 1993 Audi 90CS

I'm looking to put both a K&N cold air intake cone filter and a turbo charger on my 1993 Audi 90CS. I know the K&N should not be much of a problem but will it be possible to also add a turbo charger? How much more power and gas milage should I get out of the K&N? How much more out of a turbo charger? I was also wondering if adding this much power to my old engine will cause problems with gaskets and other vital engine parts? Any help would be great. I love my audi and want it to be even quicker. Thanks for all of your help!

Anything is possible with enough money, but with adding more power you'll have to upgrade a few things, clutch and flywheel especially.
I should ask, is it a manual?

I can add a turbo to my 3.0... for about 6-8 grand if not more. ouch.

Thanks for your input Audie. It is unfortunately an automatic. For only $1700 I could not pass this car up even though it was an automatic. However, the sport button for the transmission is pretty sick because it changes gears at a much higher RPM. I obviously don't know much about cars but from what I have read it would not be worth it to put a turbo charger in this car. It seems like too much money for the amount of power I would get. Plus it's an old car so I might as well save that money for a new car in a couple years. So i think i'll skip the idea of a turbo charger and just put in a K&N cold air intake filter and get rid of my old black box and old filter. Do you know much about the K&N cold air intake systems? Should I expect a few more horses? Does it help with gas millage?
Thanks a ton!!! NICE RIDE!!!!

From what I've heard and know thanks to my brother the K&N will add some more ponies, not sure what it would give you on your car, expect at least 5 if not more on it, normally it will give you 10-15 on a Fuel Injected car. It'll also give you around 3-5mpg more.

You are in the same boat I am, as nice as a turbo would be on my car, it's not worth the money for the little more oomph it would give me. I could supercharge my car but I personally don't like the whine it gives off so I'd never do it.

I know what I do from asking questions on here and it helps to have a family of car fanatics and a best friend who knows more than I ever could about them. My oldest brother is a mechanic, my dad is a GM at the local tire center and my other brother is a fellow Euro car owner, I'm always asking questions about something.

Thanks, I love my car, she's all stock but it's all I need for now.

I'm pretty sure you have resorted to stalking me now Krip.

And I would except I don't have the $$$. but if you want to pay for it, by all means.
