anyone ever heard of a ko4 27 turbo upgrade kit from ss auto chrome?

 

do not, DO NOT, buy a turbo from ss auto or xs power. If you want a turbo that wont blow up before the end of the driveway stick with garrett or a borg warner k0 whatever. If cost is an issue just get a t-series turbo. They are journal bearings instead of ball bearing sotheywill spool a little slower but whenmatchedwith a smaller turbine (.48) you candecrease spool up time. A t3t4 50trim which is a good all around turbo can be had for $575 at www.boostfactory.net. Buy quality parts and you wont have to worry about reliability.

 

SS Autochrome and XS Power have been known to be cheaper, less reliable products.

 

Yeah like the turbo housing has been glued together, yep seen that pic on vortex before.
