I've searched through the internet as much as I could and I cannot seem to find a place that makes a kit for a 2001 A6 2.7T. I see APR has a 2.7T but in an S4. Think it's possible to get it to work on the A6? Also, at $7249 for that kit, is there a less expensive alternative? Maybe Just buy bigger turbos and better intercooler? This is my first turbo car so I'm not sure what can and can't be done. Thanks.

 

Im sure most the parts are interchangeable between s4 and a6, but you will need software to make it work (apr's chip wont work on the a6). I dont think there is enough interest in the a6 to warrent a turbo upgrade, or just the sw.

 

Needing a custom chip, I can understand. APR does make a chip for the A6 though. I'll take it that you meant that APR doesn't make a chip that will allow for the S4turbos to work on the A6.

 

s4 turbos are the same as a6 turbos. They both will need the rs4/6 turbos (ko4's) to upgrade. then you need to find a tune for them.

 

a modified S4 K04 program should work fine. it's getting someone to modify it for you that's the hard part.

 

Someone would have to copy the maps and make it compatiable with his ecu. If you asked giac or another tuner nicely, they may do it for you.
