Sorry Just getting back to the forum. Okay downloaded VCDS-Lite ordered a cable and cannot read codes. Wierd I can read the engine codes only with my Actron C9125 hand held scanner. Took car back to garage and they cannot read codes either, they tried there Actron and also can read engine codes only. Ther expensive machine and my VCDS Lite will not read codes. I tried the VCDS on another car works fine. Does tis seem a bit odd that I can read ODBII codes from a cheap scanner and not from others. I need to figure out why in order to get it to pass inspection. Any ideas.

Scanning Questions
Sorry Just getting back to the forum. Disconnected the Radio and I thought all was good, as I was able to scan with Actron C9125 scanner but that only does engine codes.(ODBII Generic stuff).
So I downloaded VCDS-Lite ordered a cable and cannot read codes. Tested VCDS-Lite on other VW cars and works fine. Took car back to garage and they still cannot read codes either, they tried there Actron and also can read engine codes only. There expensive machine and my VCDS Lite will not read any codes ODBII or Air Back, ABS nothing.
This seems odd that I can read ODBII codes from a cheap scanner and not from others. I need to read all codes, NH will not inspect car until they can. Help is desperately needed any ideas.

One more question....
K line is on pin 7 which replies back from all control modules right? Well what about generic ODBII codes from the ECU do they come back from the K-line or a WHT/BLK line from the ECU that goes to pin 13? Not that explaines why VCDS-Lite cannot read ODBII and the Actron does.
