STREETS of PHILADELPHIA
Location: Rear of Philly Art Museum
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Alternate Mtg. Places
1. Philly Suburbs:
Old Ikea in Plymouth Mtg. Mall Lot near Strawbriges Lower side
8:20-8:40am - Departing at 8:50am SHARP!!
This will make for a SWEET cruise down the blueroute (476S), 76E, to Kelly Drive E, and into the lot. Should be a blast!
2. Central NJ and all points North (NY):
Judgegavel heads up this crew (Billy). Molly Pitcher Rest Stop on the south bound NJTP
8:05-8:20 am - Departing at 8:30am SHARP!!
This rest stop is just south of exit 8A and just south of where the TP's Truck and Car lanes merge.
Meeting time 9:30am near the Art Museum
Address for directions:
640 Waterworks Drive
Philadelphia, PA 19130
Do not follow the directions and map into the Waterworks driveway unless you see Audis/VWs already down there.
Follow the map below. You will follow the green into the FAIRMOUNT area.
This is really a parking lot. I will try to get us into the Waterworks parking lot but it's iffy. Great pics at this area:
PLEASE BRING MOTOROLA or OTHER BRAND WALKIE TALKIES. CHANNEL 3.0 If you don't have any, go get some! They're VERY cheap these days and make the cruises a lot more fun.
Schedule of events to be added in the next week.
Bring your S.O. to this event if it's a mild day. Very scenic areas. Rollerblading, running, walking trails 20 yards from the meeting place. Kelly drive is on the map for bikers/rollerbladers/runners in the area. 10 miles around the river, very scenic.
Ideas include: Photos of our cars at the top of the art museum steps. Below as well. Cruise West River Drive and Kelly Drive. Maybe a cruise down famous South Street for cheesesteaks at Jim's!
