Folks, do you know any good mechanic in westchester New York. Dont mind travelling to Bronkx or Queens but Long Island is too far

Any info much appreciated

depends where in westchester you live, casue right on the border of westchester and putnam (by somers, ny if you have any clue) there is a place called last chance garage

they do some good stuff there, they specialize in audi/vw

he is my go to mechanic

For the prices they have posted, I wonder where there parts are coming from??? OEM parts at wholesale prices are not that cheap?

 

Edge-motors does some damn good work. They did my timing belt on my old 2.8l and i can vouch that they used genuine audi parts. They just know what theyre doing so they dont charge much for the labor. Most places quoted me at $1200-$1500 for the timing belt job saying its a 12 hour job. These guys did it in about half that time and that includes a lunch break and waiting on the parts guy to deliver stuff(brake-kleen ect).

I just towed my new 4.2 over there to have the trans checked out.

 

Sergey at Edge Motors kept my car running at reasonable cost.

 

If you have a service at a good price and people are happy, that sounds good to me.
