So I got my eBay cable today, and no it was not $15 it was $16.26 shipped. I must say it took 2 weeks to get but was worth the wait.
After downloading the newest version of the Ross-Tech software I was unable to do anything with the new cable. I called on ouTTie914 to help me out. She then relayed a message from another Audi owner that I would need the older version of the software. I installed Release 409.1 For MODERN SERIAL Interfaces and it worked no problem.
I now have the ability to control my windows with the remote and there is no longer that damn seat belt chime!
Now that I know it works I can do the same to other B7 A4 Audis.

Hey kids - been a rough couple of weeks. Not around this weekend but if anyone is around to hang the weekend of 11-12, shout.

@jason - solid work on the ebay cable. I'm gonna bug you next time i see you to shut my damned seat-belt chime off! ;-) Did you do the fog-light mod too?

Hey if anyone wants to meet the weekend of the 11th i have fall break from school and il be back in nj and also my b-day is on the 11th so that would be cool to have a gtg then also.

 

OK, so here it is the OFFICIAL TIME/DATE/LOCATION for the NEXT NNJ AUDI GTG and MOD party!

WHEN: Sunday October 5th, 12:00pm

WHERE: Rifle Camp Park, West Paterson NJ. (unless other suggestions are made)

WHAT: to bring, food, non-alcoholic drinks, tools, parts to install, sell, trade, or give away. Any information on codes you would like to have vag-comed on your car.
(again it is up to you to research and bring printed codes!!!)

DIRECTIONS

We are gaining more cars with every meet. Join the fun and come out and meet your fellow Audi enthusiasts!
Please cut and paste roster list with your name and total number of people attending including your self!

***If you plan on bringing other Audis not from Audiforums.com please list them separately so we have a car count***

Now if I could please get your help. For all who plan on making the meet on Sunday can you please contact myself or Superman06 with your contact info? Having cell numbers will make it much easier the day of the meet if we need to contact one another for any reason. (I promise that I will not sell your number to telemarketers, cant say the same for Superman06)

The Wii will also be back.
