Snow Tires for A4 quattro Avant
I'm looking for advise on snow tires. Have a 2003 A4 Avant Wagon Quattro 255/55/R16 wheels. Am an aggressive driver and am looking for something that does well on snow, ice and dry pavement that is somewhat QUIET. Any suggestions? I live in Northern Vermont.

i have a set of nokian hakkapeliitta2 sitting in my basement. they are studdable but i don't have the studs. they have bout 80% left on them. got my car in the summer and i took them off and i won't be going very far with my car so i don't need them. they're 205/45or55 i forgot /16. i wil put up pix in a bit. if u want them give me a price but the thing is i would hate to ship them cuz i have no idea wut im doing but if ur generous i'll find out wut i need to do.
The problem with Tire Rack is that the reviews are all over the ball park. I purchased the ones I have now and another pair based upon reviews on Tire Rack and was very dissappointed. They are Dunlop Winter Sport M3's. Although they handle fairly well, they are now noisy as all hell. I am hoping to get some advise from users with the same car.
BTW, I goofed on the tire size, it is 215/55/R16
I will need some advise on summer tires too. The last pair was Bridgestone Pole Position xx? The reviews on Tire Rack were pretty good, but they were awful. I was always fighting the grooves in the road and were noisier than the snow tires. I got rid of them when I put the snows on last year and kept the snows on until I wear them out. I believe it is time for new snows. In the spring I'll have to get new summer tires.
