An FJ40 would have been no use driving to, and from Bulgaria! I was trying to get her to buy a Shogun, purley on reliability. But she fell in love with the Mystery machine, and has proceeded to become an entusiast for the first time in her life!

Not very... Shogun engine, and plenty of parts on the web. Not sure about US, but in UK its fine.

when I played around in the caribean there were 100's of those everwhere.

actually they were toyota 4x4 but same general ugly as flark van that goes and goes and goes.

the thread needed life support, to get it is not a one person job. Hence my useless bit of my life history/trivia. which would elicit the boring comment by some one, forcing me to reply with this long explaination.
