Default Off Road Toy

Here's one of my other motorized toys. It's not a VW or Audi and it's not luxurious by any means. It's a single purpose vehicle with more modified components that original ones.

1978 Ford F150
460ci (7.5L) Big Block w/Holley 750 CFM carb
Automatic trans. (never been burnt up)
35" x 12" BGF/MT tires
6" of lift
Mini-spool front and rear axles
Twin-sticked NP205 transfer case
Wristed radius arm
Tilting front clip
A/C converted to on-board air compressor
Custom dash/instruments w/push-button start
Roll cage/bucket seats/5 pt. harnesses
and many other options

Wow mini spool front with the weight of a 460 in a dana 44 that thing must be a ***** to turn......C6 autos are among the strongest trany's built but also the highest geared with no OD

Cool truck! but just a tip when you try to show off your flex the object is for your tires to remain on the ground ( that is what flexing is all about) nice stock ford tho

Yeah, the flex isn't all that great. The pic was before the wristed radius arm and longer front shocks. Hopefully this winter, I'll be building the 4-link rear and that should make a big difference.

It is high geared, and the 3.50:1 rear doesn't help either. As for the front mini-spool, I keep one hub unlocked until I need it. Otherwise there'd be NO turning whatsoever.

Here's my offroad vehicle - 1986 FJ60 Toyota Landcruiser.

I took it out to Colorado elk hunting last fall. Shot a nice 4x5 with my .340 - one shot kill at about 220 yards.

On the way back, in Nebraska, about 01:00, a suicide deer decided to jump right out in front of me while I was traveling at ~70MPH.

That deer bounced off of that ARB Bull Bar clear beyond the left lane into the ditch. The ARB Bull Bar had some hair and blood on it, but there was no damage to my vehicle at all, though I had to clean the windshield of all the juices.

I don't want to even think about what that would have done to my Audi....
