*Warning....Venting inside*
Lemme start off by saying if your in the west chicago area and are not looking to replace any of your tires do not drive on Rt 59 near North Ave.
I was minding my own business driving along with a friend (Side by side) when out of nowhere a 4 foot wide, 4 inch deep pot hole pops out! i swerve to miss the damn thing but it caught my front right tire and busted a hole in the side wall of my new $200 vrederstein tire!!! I was bout to slap a b*^ch...Not to mention when the tow guy came it seemed he had a 3 foot stick up his ***. Where do they get off acting like complete ********....dumbass even had to ask me what kind of car im driving...wtf?
So thats the end of my rant for now...Any one else have venting they need to do feel free..
Oh yeah, if you wish to donate money to the "Getting Nick a new Tire Fund" Feel free to contact me.

Dude. Pot holes are everywhere. I have seen some real axle breakers lately. I agree that you should go at the city for the damage but you should not rely on getting any money back. If you did win and you were owed a refund, you won't get it for years. You and everyone else in the city is pissed off and upset at the pot holes. I have seen some lately that are really terrible but have been lucky to dodge them. Good luck and get that tire fixed asap.
I almost nailed a pothole the size of an 18" sub.on Ogden ave. yesturday. That road is all jacked up by i-294!Lately ive been seeing a lotof crap in the roads by me. Last weekistradled a broken box ofceramic tile i thought for sure my tire was done for.On Fridayi seen a f-ing batteryright on the line for a turning lane.
Ogden eh? Where you at?
Anyways, I told my dad about it, he's an insurance fraud investigator and he told to go back and take pictures and then we're gunna call the city about getting some money back.

Dam that's not a pot hole, that's a ditch!
Im out in Joliet but i made a few trips up to Scott's pet shop for fish tank supplies. Everything by me is overpriced and the people there know what their talking about.

Do you have road hazard insurance/replacement on the tire? With all the bureaucratic crap you gotta go through to get your money it might be easier to just get the tire replaced by the manufacturer.
Sorry to hear that but I don't think you will ever get anything out of the state. A friend of mine hit a pot hole and bent one of his wheels and they said there was nothing they could do.
Damn chicago streets. My buddy completly destroyed two brand new enikei wheels and LoPro g/force T/A Tires because they tore up the pavement on the road, left the road open, and all the sewer caps (had to be over a hundred of em). were sticking up more then 4 inch's, like every 10 feet on the road, no choice but to hit them when someone else is in the lane next to you. Had to drive 70 miles back to his house with a flat on the rear cuz only one spare. those were some cool wheels too...
