2000 Camaro SS vs. 2000 Audi S4
1987 ford mustang- learned to fix and then drive a stick- tax deductable got the money back! all $600. Had for 4months did not wreck.
mom lets me drive her 1987 vette. I have yet to wreck that [8D]
I paid for all of my cars on my own, and I can proudly say, my first car at 18 was an 85 corvette. then the 94 trans am, now I still own a 95 z28. I've never crashed, but at the same time, i drive within my limits... most kids with these cars dont. another thing, is that 99% of the time, i wont race people. I dont iniate races ever... and most of the people who try to start one, are in civics, and whats the point? buy my camaro though :P
seriously, I dont know what to say... i dont thikn at 16 you should have either car. they are both way to nice. no way can a 16 year old afford either of those cars, without lots of help -- and what does that teach you? to appreciate other peoples money?
and the fact that you posted the same thing on the z28 forum, doesnt eliminate bias... you're just going to have 2, differently biased results. DURR.
I'm not even going to suggest one or the other... I think both would be stupid, in the hands of a young driver.

look at the facts i didn't pay for ALL of my first car i paid for half a deal i have had with my dad for me and my brother since we were five. i started saving at 6 money in an account. I sold teh mustang for 13500 after buying it for 12500 and bought my A4 11000. I dont get what u dont undersatnd. And for u congrats on buying ur car and being all proud of urself, just b/c my parents like to help me out doesn't say anything. How do u know anything about me and what i respect. I know the value of a dollar so dont be such a jerk. And good for u for not racing woo that must make u feel great well i turned to fast in a RWD car and it slid out and hit a car parked on the side of the 2 lane street. I also live in so cal where u need a car at 16. My parents dont want to have to drive me ever. There is no public transportation. But i can proudly say that i pay for the a4 100% w/o any help unless u count having only paid for half of a car then getting the full money back help. My dad decided taht he would match the money we had to help us with our first cars since after that u trade in ur cars. Also my grandfather got a car at 16 and then my dad got one at 16 and now at got one at 16. I know it sounds bad taht i will (eventually in 6/7 months) be on my thrid car but there is no crime in trading a car in for something better. And look at this forum there are ppl that are 17 with brand new a4s and ur bitching at me b/c u r mad at ur parents. That doesn't make any sense.
i aint raggin on ya, i kno what u mean man. but me personally, i dont ever see myself behind the wheel of a rear wheel car, unless its something high class, like a porsche or ferrari or something (if all goes well, i see myself at 30 with one [8D] )
other then that, i wouldnt like an american RWD car, anyone who drive one usually thinks his **** dont stink and his cars the fastest on the road, which leads to accidents. but if u track race it only, thats good, u can push ur car nice, wouldnt recommend pushing it on the street, all it takes is one clucky, and ur swervin. the stability of AWD is amazing, plus where i live winter can be harsh, so im goin to invest wisely

Are you the guy that doesnt pay for gas as well? I cant remember anymore.
and who said anybody was mad with there parents?
and way to turn to fast and wreck somebody elses car... this is what I mean, people who dont know their limits, shouldnt drive. and definatley shouldnt drive rwd.
AWD prolly makes you feel invincible then?

k, i for one, am not angry at my parents for not giving me money... cause they did, and they continue to offer. i just would rather work for what I have.
i saw a 1 year old Escape with 500kms on it for $19-20K, i had $10K, so they loaned me the rest. but when i sold the escape for $20K again, I paid off my debt with them.
i don't really care if your rents buy you cars, I could care less really. just gets frusterating whne we have people like audihere lieing about the crap in their car, and then we have a 16 yr old claiming that he bought the car with his own money. yeah, you paid for half the car back then, but you really aren't paying for the car yourself until you pay off your debt with him. just pointing out that kids who are just handed stuff don't appreciate what they have, and most of us here worked our asses to be where we are. having some kid younger than all of us come on here and ask us which car daddy should buy for him is a little annoying, but all in all.. we really don't care.
audi S4. hands down
