my audi mechanic is selling a 4000cs he swapped a 5000cs 5cyl turbo into. does this have alot of potential for anything?

 

whats he selling it for. That sounds like a pretty sweet ride if its clean.

 

if i remember correctly, hes asking 4,500

 

holy hell thats WAY too much... seriously man way way too much have had the same car you can do way better than that

 

well i wasnt really planning on buying it or anything. unless someone could convince me that this 5cyl turbo he put in there has some major potential. and it's just his asking price. my dad could of been wrong though, he has a horrible memory.

 

I'm gonna look at it when i pick up my car later, idk what else he has in it.

 

oh, well the motor has insane potential, not as much as the 20v cuz thats the 10v but still its a great motor and they can be damn quick..... thats what was in the white 4000cs of mine before the 20v....... we had it set up with standalone a different cam and that thing was a monster, just not quite as much as the 20v is

 

if its a 20v you will love it!! and have an insanely fast car!! Dont buy it for that price though.. yuck!

 

its not a 20v cuz its from a 5000cs and they had 10v's..... 20v's Only came in 90-91 200tq's and then later s model cars

 

yes, the old 10v turbo looks like crap but is still beautiful piece of machinery. i was actually about by a 1987 5000 avant turbo chicpped and running at 10lb boost, makeing roughly factory Ur-s4 power, with a bigger RS2 turbo and some more fuela dn ECU tuning you can easily make 300+at the wheels, i now really wish my dad let me get the avant but no, its a car that you cant daily drive, its gonna break,
