WELL AS YOU GUYS NOW KNOW I HAVE A LICENSE I ALSO REMEMBERED I LIVE IN AN AREA WHERE STOP AND GO TRAFFIC IS INEVITABLE. SO I MAY BE TRADING IN MY 96 A4 QM (WHICH I LOVE) FOR A SOMEWHAT PERFECT CONDITION 98 A4 1.8T Q TIPTRONIC. HORRIBLE COLOR(BEIGE ON BLACK LEATHER) BUT ITS AWD TURBO AND WHAT I NEED TO KNOW IS IF THE TIPTRONIC TRANNY IS ANY GOOD AND IF IT HAS TUNING POTENTIAL. THANKS Y'ALL

i apparently had caps on and kept looking on my keyboard. i got simaltanios post cause i just got soo much to talk about.

There is a Tip chip available and I heard about this mod you can do to make it cabable of handling very high torque output. Just remember they are expensive to replace. I have a Tip and its great in NYC traffic but feels boring compared to manual.

 

so in your opinion for just hauling @$$ is it good. of course tip is never as much fun but then again they wouldnt put in a semi stick function if it wasent based on some performance. if this deal goes through i will souley base my desicion on my fellow AF ers since i have never owned a tip audi.
