Angry A6 Quattro front suspension problems

I have a 2004 A6 S-line and this thing is taking me to the bank. Don't get me wrong, I love the car, but, I've had one problem after another with the front end. Is there anyone else having similar issues? I also just had the "routine" timing belt service at 80,000 miles, and now a check engine code for the air pump and "combi" valves. So far I've dropped almost $4000.00 into it and this last repair is already at $1700.00. What's next? My son pointed it out that our 2004 Focus with 80,000 miles and 2001 Tribute with 140,000 miles only needs routine maintenance. If this is what owning an Audi is all about, I'll go back to Fords. And "yes" I can afford to own it, but at what price!

Thats all common maintenance on a german car, you can't compare it to a ford or a tribute. If you don't want to pay for the repairs, do what all the other rich whiners do and buy a new one every 2 years. I'll help you out and tell you want to avoid.
Saab, Audi, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Acura, Lexus, Land Rovers, Infinity, and Volvo.

German cars aren't THAT cheap to own, unfortunately. IMO the look and the handling pay for it.

I've always found with my car that the harder you push it the better it stays together.
