Default Another ticket question

well for a first time in a while i got a ticket. make matters worse im already oncourt supervision for about another month. my question is when the cop radared me, i was at a constant speed and he was coming toward me in opposing traffic. there was also a souped up RX-7 turbo that had blown past me a little earlier, is it possible that the cop got the RX-7 and not me, the RX-7 oviously had a radar detector because he slammed on the brakes right after he pasted me. i wasnt going limit but i wasent doing 71 in a 45either iwas more around the 55-60 mark, or thats what i saw when i went past the cop. i also changed lanes right into the path of the cop right as the RX-7 changed lanes away from the cop. i dont have to apear in court and i can just pay the $95 get a conviction and live with my parents being pissed off for about a year and have slightly higher insurance (20 BTW and have 1 accident and possibly 1 ticket on the record.). my second option is to go to court argue that the cop is wrong and either get slammed with a bigger fine of something around $145 and since im already on court supervision probably not get another one and still get a conviction. also what is the rule in illinois if anyone knows is it 1 or 2 court supervisions per year. so does it look i got a chance of fighting this thing.or should i just swallow my pride and pay the 95 and get a conviction. I also now gotta sell my car since it seems history has a way of repeating itself.

If there is more than one car, RADAR is useless. Fight it and don't forget to mention the other car.

Yeah you could easily get out of that ticket, but be very honest in front of the judge and tell them you were going 55 and not 71 or whatever, that will let him know you have some integrity.

Of course bring your ticket, but you really don't have any evidence and you shouldn't un-less you knew the guy driving the RX7 hehe. Its just word by honor system and DO NOT by any circumstances give him any lip, be courteous and forward and you'll be fine, almost all judges will give you a break because of your age and being honest is a key factor.

I personaly would pay my lawyer around $150 to make it go away. But at the least you should go to court and be honest with the judge. It always worked for me back when I was your age.

About the 1 or 2 supervisions a year I think its 2 because I remember getting it 2 times and nothing happened to me.

My tickets are always in Joliet so I would say no but you have to go to St. Charles right?

im pretty sure its the wheaton courthouse, ill see what that lawyer you recommended can do, if anything i might just take my chances and just go to court and see if i can have a heart to heart with the judge. hopefully i can get a court supervision since i just realized that my last ticket was in dupage wereas this ones in will.
