I want to start putting money into the stock market....any advise?

 

How much money do you want to invest? Investing small amounts can get expensive with commission fees and all. I'd set up a Roth IRA and deposite what you can into it.

 

I want to start with $3000....i am try to look at penny stocks.

 

It's funny because I have been investing since I was 14... so I like to follow a few different companies... but yeah, my point (I did have a point) ... I, like everybody else, gets spam about many things... while sifting through ***** enlargement ads, as well as info on where to get free pics of hot lolitas... I came accross one about a sure thing investment for some company... PGCN-Q was the symbol I found for it... I never bought any, but I watched it. The DAY AFTER I received that email... the ****** went up 70%, and traded a pretty large volume! It was nuts... I did the same with the next email I got... DKDY-Q ... and it went up like 25% the next day.

They have both since crashed again... but still, pretty crazy!

 

I've been following Delphi for a while now. Everyone laughed at me for dumping money into it. It's now double in price just this week and still soaring every day!

 

I want to learn. Im going to start with mutual funds i think.

 

Yeah it's a much safer bet when you are just starting off.

 

Casino property stocks are pretty wild. I've done well with some HET over the past 3yrs. There are some others as well. The house rarely loses.

 

I would say keep an eye for the new technology, like if Blu-ray is public, they will be huge come spetember when their estimated release is. Look for something that is coming out, that will make a huge distance. Or just ask some people that u know, good stocks. Liek satelite radio when it came out

 

GOOGLE just joined the S&P 500 today forcing the index funds to purchase lots of shares of it, and it jumped about 7 percent last time i checked. Good thing since I own a mutual fund with about 6% of it being GOOG shares.
