From what I've seen, most cars are usually pretty quick to get close to their top speed, it's just those last 5 to 10mph that take forever.

You can't imagine how tempted I am to do that sometimes. Just the thought of getting caught, or even worse, hitting something at that speed makes me cringe.

I'm going to broaden my search to anywhere in the northeastern US, doubt I'll be able to find a whole lot though.

I have 2 quick questions:

1. I own/use a GPS, and on it it tells my speed (as well as other info). Can an officer say "let me see your GPS" and "prove" that I was going above posted speed? I noticed this the other day because I passes a long line of trucks when nearing an exit ramp, and my max speed on the GPS said 86.1 mph. So I'm definately speeding in a 65mph zone.

2. I drifted across the striped white line on a highway once and bumped into a car. hardly any damage and I admited to the other driver I was at fault and I would handle all damages. Along comes an officer (who was not there during the accident) and he proceeds to give me a ticket for unsafe lane change. I'm wondering if I didn't admit fault, would/could he have still issued the ticket? I only admitted guild because I didn't want the other driver to freak out and panic about being in an accident.

1. Can your gps record your max speed or show how fast you were traveling at x location?
2. Never admit fault, says so right on my state farm insurance card "Do no admit fault. Do not discuss the accident with anyone except State Farm or the police."

No they can not... for One, they are not reliable (mine once said Max was 278.6MPH). Two, you can always hit 'reset' to clear it. Three, that would be self-incrimination.

Yes..
