Did anyone watch top gear last night on BBC America? They ran the V8 and loved it. It handled like it should and was comfortable. Even with a RS4 V8 in it, still worth the $80k asking

Sure the 911 won ina 1/2mi race, but it got killed on their track. The V8 may not make supercar power, but it makes more than enough for a light well balanced car. Hell, look at the Lotus cars, they have upgraded 1.8L Toyota engines and run 13's in the 1/4mi and are arguably the best handling cars on the planet

Same here. I would love to have one with a turbo making 300-350whp. That would be more than enough for a light *** car.

 

I'd rather a supercharged Miata. Better weight distribution, better torque curve, and a trunkFTW!

 

That would be nice and cheap. I had the same model as in your sig but with a 4 point roll bar and the white racing stripes. Even with that and some wheels it takes some getting past the perception of what is a Miata. That why i never called it anything but a MX-5
