I can understand where you might become confused, there are a lot of rules to the classification of sexy ladies, and sometimes not so sexy. Allow me to help with some quick definitions modified slightly with my take on it, from UrbanDictionary...
Jaguar - In the lexicon of older women seeking younger men, a jaguar is 50 and over. Jaguars tend to be financially stable and are only looking for sex from their 20 something prey.
Cougar - An attractive woman in her 30's or 40's who is on the hunt once again. She may be found in the usual hunting grounds: nightclubs, bars, beaches, etc. She will not play the usual B.S. games that women in their early twenties participate in. End state, she will be going for the kill, just like you.
UGLY chick in this situation would be referred to as a Mountain Lion.
Male version, called a Panther, or a pedophile I think.... Oh those lollies!!! hahahah
Puma - An attractive woman in her late 20's or 30's who is still young enough to be considered pre-cougar, a woman who knows what she wants, who can carry on a conversation, and who has a low probability of being a gold digger, and may or may not want a relationship. Similar to a MILF, but no children required.
So, as a guy in his late 20's, regularly hooking up with a chick in her late 30s, I'm in the vicinity of Puma/Cougar, but what happens when I turn 30? Reoccurring theme across all these are that the girls are chasing guys in their 20s.
So does she cease to be a puma/cougar in the context of our recreational romps?
If I didn't pass out drunk most nights, I'd lose sleep thinking this over...

I gave up on the "Free Candy" thing when I realized how little room there is in the Bimmer... Something like a Subaru wagon would make much more sense if I were trying to be an "inconspicuous" pedophile.
