BIG COLLEGE DILEMA
Hey guys, just wanted your two cents on this:
I've been accepted to Georgetown University and Boston College Honors Program.
I would need to pay 35K to go to BC but only 23K to go to Georgetown (difference is all in scholarship). What would you guys do? I really liked BC more, because I'm from CT and like Boston better as a city, but I really can't justify that extra money. Oh and I should add, I have to pay 100% for my education- my parents aren't giving me a dime.

Maybe do some research into cost of living in both locations to make sure that you are comparing apples to apples on your expenses. If you can live for less in Boston for 4yrs, then the numbers might even up even with the differences in tuition.
This is entirely possible as DC can be very expensive if you want to live in a place where you can go outside at night without getting killed.
I'm guessing that you may grow tired of dorm life after a few years.
Another factor to think about is - Where do you want to end up after college? This is difficult to know right now, but if you think you want to be a lobbyist, then go to DC. If you want to develop a funny accent and sound like the mayor of Springfield, then go to BC.

If your carreer is going to be the same thing either way, go with the cheapest one.. They are both reputable colleges, and it will only be 4 years of your life that you may sacrafice some of the finer accomodations the lesser one has to offer.
