WOOOOO!!!!!

Seriously, after ditching my iPhone a while back, I've missed a few of my most beloved apps. Shazaam helped me keep track of music I'd hear on the radio, so I could track it down later. Locly helped me find local restaurants, and the movies app let me find showtimes for local theatres with just a couple "key" presses. So very handy.

Well, recently, Blackberry launched App World. Same idea as the app store (only RIM is paying app developers more [80% vs 70%] than Apple).

So far I've downloaded quite a few. Happy to have Flycast and Shazaam back, and I have Poynt which is similar to Locly.

Those of you with Blackberry's... they just got way, way better.

 

How do I get these apps? Kinda new to blackberry but I love BBM already

 

Just down loaded the BB app store to my storm and it is great. Thanks for the heads up.

 

Simply visit www.blackberry.com/appworld/download from your smartphone to download.

Also, while it's not on app world yet, for some reason... download Opera Mini. Beats the snot out of the built in BB browser.

 

Storm user here. App World Rules!!! it's a little slow, but whatever. Storm users can also go to www.stormota.com on your phone to get some good OTA apps
