i am thinking about becoming a audi mechanic, i've heard that many master techs make 100k+ a year, is this true? what does it take to get to that level? any mechanics on these boards? how do you like your job? what type of schooling do i need?

 

if your just in it for the loot you're not gonna be a very good mechanic... Or one that many people will WANT to take their babys to...

 

never really thought a mechanic can make 100K plus...

who knows maybe I'm wrong. You'll save a bunch when your car gets f*cked up. But c'mon man, just stick to a job you like, not cuz of pay, or you might as well go into investment banking.

 

Well, i have also heard that some mechanics can make 6 figures too. But dont do it just for moeny, u can get plenty more doing something else, but if u love working on cars than u would prolly love this.

Ok, lets get someone that really knows the capabilities of being an Audi tech? I've often thought about it because I love the brand so much. I'm not sure about the hours though. They aren't too bad but you have to work on Saturday. I hate working in an office and it's making me crazy lately. People call me Peter Gibbins at work which is not a good sign.

 

Law, real estate, investment banker, business owner, loads of things.

 

mechanics make a lot, my uncle owns his own shop and hes ballin
but he lives an almost bare bones life style[:'(]

 

Being an Audi mechanic isnt that bad. I work on vw and audis daily I am always booked. My family's shop where we specialize in the brand for repair and used cars. They are fairly simple to work on compared to some others. But you do have to love the cars you work on and dont be in for the money because you will not make any money. Be in it for the customer, the car, and the love. Then the money will come.

 

The money isnt bad either
