I got a 99 audi a4 and i recently got the oil changed in it because my little on board computer would blink a little oil can and beep three times whenever i would drive a little fast or take a corner too sharp. But now after i had my oil changed it still does it, a lot. Its really freakin annoying and i checked my oil and its fine. any ideas as to why it is still telling me to change my oil even though its fine??????

What color is it blinking? Is it the oil symbol or the windshield washer fluid light?

 

Also did you use the proper oil?

 

its red, but all my lights inside my car are red. Its the oil symbol for sure. Sometimes it wont stop blinking and tells me to turn off my engine and check my oil

 

i dont know i had my mechanic change my oil...i would suspect he would use the right oil.....

could just be a bad sensor

 

sounds like you're low if it's beeping on hard turns or it's a faulty sensor

btw, some of the symbols come up a dull yellow

 

Yeah, my windshield washer light comes up. But it doesn't look like it should be windshield washer fluid. I would take it back and have it checked if I were you. As for wrong oil, if you use 10W-30 when it's warmer out and 5W-30 in the winter you should be fine. Whether you want to use conventional, blend, or full synthetic is up to you.
