CHP
hey guys, was wondering if any of you know how to obtain a CHP license plate holder. It says 11-99 foundation on it i believe. i saw 1 on a 745Li the other day at work and also today on a lambo on the freeway. i think you have to donate money to the "foundation" and the CHP gives you mad breaks on tickets. but yea...any of you guys know more about this, please share.
i know around where i live u can get those, another foundtaion sticker and one from cops u knowthat goes on ur license. They just do it as a thank you for ur donation. U get more warnings this way. If u find out let me know. I need one.
my friends city the more u donate the better the sticker is
u can get a regular one and it can go up as high as a gold colored sticker sayin u donated to the cops
cops are tryin to make people believe support the cops stickers really will work to get money

I know this sounds stupid... but I have plates on my car with the LAPD radio ID code on them. Looks like a random/letter combo, but any cop knows the ID from it being broadcast on the radio all the time. Had a friend provide them for me.
Get a FOP sticker. You can't get a FOP plate unless you ACTUALLY belong to the Fraternal Order of Police. (edyt: And, you CAN'T join FOP unless you are employed as a police officer w/arrest authority.) I have a sticker on my D2 and although I can't say 4SURE that it got me out of TWO tickets (they may have let me go witha warning w/o the sticker, I suppose), but I was pulled over TWICE and let go with my "sorry-officer-I-wasn't-paying-attention-to-how-fast-I-was-going" line. Which was true, because, how much time DO you spend watching the speedo, huh? NEway, once I get my GSA Security Officer's cert, and get on a GSA contract (my p/t job is in physical security, btw), I'm going for teh FOP license plate. Some P/O's don't care, some do. $35.00 for the sticker vs. possible a $200.00 ticket... I've gambled on less, with more... (I think the plate runs $125.00, btwn dues and "special" tags fees, here in MD)
damn...not much on the net about them or either im not looking hard enough. found out that 11-99 is a radio code for chp for needing assistance. not sure what the relevance is though...
