I need a sub or something, for serious...actually...I wonder if the Bose sub in the A4 is compatible? Anyone know??

Matt...I can't even begin to describe how amazing this car is to someone that's never touched the accelerator of a 4.2. Have you? It doesn't matter, you've forgotten just how fantastic it is. The interior is even more comfortable than my B5's and I found out that my *** is exactly Recaro sized. In fact, this particular car was probably made just for me and I didn't even know it . I've got carbon fiber all over the place and XM is awesome! The leather, turns out, isn't white, but a very light grey with an otherwise black interior. It was initially disappointing, but I love it now and it's way more practical, of course.

However, on the trip from Austin to Houston, averaging around 75-80 mph, I only got 22.4 mpg. I. Dont. Care.

 

The bose in my B5 sucks, i cant imagine a B6 being even worse...

And 22.4mpg is the highest you will ever see. Ever.

 

I love my B5's Bose I dont understand why so many don't.... It's not like a high quality aftermarket but for a stock radio it really kicks ***. And it's even better w/ an iPod through the cassette cuz then you get a bit better EQ.

I drove my friends B7 S4 6 speed manual w/ a Stage 3 clutch. So much fun! He told me to beat the **** out of it and I happily obliged. 3k clutch drop launch and your at 90mph in like 7 seconds i swear haha.

 

I didn't know S4's came without Bose sound systems... Thats a new one to me.
Are you gonna install the handcuffs in this one?

 

Well, that's what I thought, too. But there aren't Bose emblems on the speaker covers like on my B5, so I figured I was mistaken. Plus, I'm serious, this sound is weak by comparison...is it worth trying to put the B5's sub in the B6 or should I just go aftermarket?

As for the handcuffs...that's one mod that's easy to move from car to car. This is still an Avant after all.

 

I'd go aftermarket on the sound system or put in RNS-E. I added subs to my bose system and it really kicks. I hope the 2011 models don't come with crap systems

 

The stock headunit doesn't like subs added to it, most B6 S4's have an audiopilot function that changes the volumn when driving different speeds which makes the bass sound like poo. Although thats a Bose feature so i don't know really.
