I'd say if it's unopened you should be ok. Its the opened jar's you want to look out for[8D]

 

There might be a use by date on it. But being un opened I think you are fine.

 

How long is a while? I have had salsa unopened in the cabinet for many months and it was fine.

its been a couple of months. i'd say 4 max. i dont see a date on the lid, on the label or printed on the glass. it looks normal, well, as far as i can see thru the bottom. should we start a pool to see if i will turn into a geiser after eating it?

dude, youre totally fine, i grow my own tomatoes and make salsa every year. we jar it and its good til the next year no problem. plus the salsa youve got probably has so many preservatives as well.

 

ah! heres the kicker, label says "no preservatives" heh-heh, so its good and bad at the same time. its the medium salsa. on a regular day i'd just scarf it down, but today my stomach's been a bit iffy, so im being cautious. i dont wana be stuck with it in my stomach on my way home and get stuck in traffic. cuz if its gotta go and im not near a toilet? well you know the rest...
