Drove a S4 with Rs4 turbos.
so basically I just want to know why this thread was brought back, and how someone found it?
I have no comment on the tip vs manual thing. I love my manual, but I would never rip on someone for the transmission they have. just imo

Back on topic...
My friend just picked up a Stage 3+ S4 a month or so ago. He used to have a Stage 2+ S4 but thatwas totalled when someone ran into him on the freeway.
My friend took me formy firstride in his caryesterday when we went and got pizza and the thing is pretty damn fast. It's having some fueling issues I think, but it still put you in your seat. My other friend has an APR Stage 3 S4 (Imola), and when I was in his car months back, it was my first Stage 3+ ride and I had a grin on my face the whole day. I'll try to find a pic of that ride later.
Back to my first friend I was talking about;
His old ride, (Stage 2+);

His new ride, (Stage 3+),
AWE tuned by the way;

Yup no sunroof, pretty much the rarest combo you can get. [sm=happy046.gif]

Don't know what I said over a year ago, but this has nothing to do with "beating anything".
I know very well that paddle shifting/automatic has come a long long way and in higher class cars will shift faster than a manual driver ever could. But its about feeling, and its like jay leno says. I like a good old fashion proper stick shift.
Anything else can suck me.

Now thats some serious power... He is going up against a Stage 3+ running 110 oct race gas. The other car is a 600AWHP S4 running twin GT series turbos on PUMP GAS!

this is a very interesting convo we are having here!...right now im running tip(in sport mode,waiting for mytipchip to get made
)
and im in the process of buying a new car and i can drive stick and all but idk if thats what i want yeah its fun for a half hour to drive stick...but with an auto i can break booststicks have to neutral drop it and have fun with thous clutches! autos dont miss gears! and with the proper chip it will beat a stick.....now to the sticks defense with my tip at certain RPM's it can not make up its mind what gear to be in and you go no where fast with a stick you control the gears and get a better feel for the car
