Like I said above, buy one already converted! I got mine for 7500, cert e-tested, with 118 000 km on it, and like 30K on the motor/tranny/exhaust. It was chipped, and had a K&N intake, and bilstein/eibach lowering... for 7500! Full GTI leather interior too! you have a 10K budget... you'll definately be able to find a nice CL already converted, just be patient... it will be more than worth it.

Haha, I'll keep a lookout for one. Place around here called 'turn 6' prolly does all the vr6 conversions around here... and apparently, the guy is a butcher. But yeah, watch the trader... they are always on there. Just a matter of finding a nice one.

Plus the vr6 is by far the best sounding motor ever made by anyone period.
I'm going to have to argue this one with you tom not a Ford fan myself but everytime I hear a 88-92 mustang rip through the gears i get a little wet spot in my boxers haha
I hate the sound of v8's prolly cause I live in a hickass town and thats all I hear but they are some damn annoying...imo

nah, we don't get sent to traffic school for 2 tickets.
talked to an insurance broker today... friend of a friend. apparently my insurance should have only gone up a couple hundred for 2 tickets... apparent 3 is where they nail you. so apparently the insurance companies are just jerkin me around.
if, as shokington has helped me with, i can work out something with belair direct... we'll be back in business. but after all this research... i kinda wanna golf now...

Yeah, Golfs are awesome. I want AWD and Diesel! I swear, the second I'm done school, the a4 is getting a TDI transplant.

But yes, golfs are sweet ***. Mine was so fun! 200 hp go-kart! Woulda creamed my A4.

well, if your price is down to 8.5K... then I'd look at golfs. You'd have a lot more fun in a VR6 golf, than you would with a 12V audi... PLUS if you drive the audi hard, and have fun with it... it'll kill you when stuff starts breaking. I mean, the 12 valves are getting close to 10 years old! The golf will break from time to time (though though only thing I ever fixed on mine, was the starter) -- but parts are much cheaper.

VR6 CL would be primo. And yes, I'd need to take it for a rip :P I want to drive my old car! I've emailed the guy a few times, with no response! He'd better not have hurt her...
