LOL.

Say what?

Unfortunately the problem came back. I think it would freeze when the page is loading pictures or some YT vids. The weird part is when I press CTRL+ALT+DEL, Firefox seems to be acting normally according to the task manager (usually when it freezes, it would say "not responding". And it's pretty similar to hiwords because the problem only occurs on the laptop (running Vista) not the desktop (running 7).

WTF FF!

i'm running 7 on the laptop too. sometimes it'll freeze when i'm streaming a vid on my desktop. idk it doesn't happen often for me so it's not a big problem. upgrade to 7 dammit. what AV and firewall are you using?

I don't think 7 is that much better than Vista. But yeah, it doesn't happen on the desktop that's running 7, only on the laptop that runs Vista. I've got the original Windows Firewall and Norton Antivirus on the laptop.

BTW - change your sig dammit!

i have IE, and i'm looking for something different.
i've heard bad things about IE, but it's all i've ever known for computers.
can you teach an old dog new tricks?
i was thinking safari since i'm always getting notices for updates.

I have IE, FF & Chrome. Depends on what I'm online for, as to which I use. I like chrome because its lite and quick. Comes up in seconds. Its small footprint means I can watch shows on Hulu with my meager 2g of memoy, while doin other stuff, too.

Most of the apps I use to manage my environment (firewall, anti-virus, spam-filter, etc.) all use IE as their default, and seem to work better with that browser.

Firefox has bookmarking that works well with how MY brain is organized, I like their add-ons, and I've been using it for years.

I've never tried Safari, so I can't offer any advice on that.
