Ok last night my friend and I were goin out to a party and we got pulled over by a************ (he meant: not-so-nice... jazz)cop. He just came up behind us then gave us a ticket for going 100 in a 55. We were goin at max 85. Bitch gave my friend a $530 doller ticket.

 

DUDE that SUCKS! Did you ask to see the radar gun to make sure he really recorded your speed , sometimes they make up BS.

 

that sucks, could be worse though, could have been your ticket.

that does suck. You guys should have asked to see the radar gun/laser reading. Especially if there is a difference in the price of the tickets. But hey, at least he diddn't go to jail for 100mph. I know in some towns/countys they will arrest you.

 

Most of them they have to be doubling the speed limit for them to arrest you.

here in ontario (canada) if your going 50 over the limit... and im talking kilometers (therefore you would have been doing that) you would get your vehicle taken away for 7 days, have your license suspended for that time, and have to pay $2000 dollar fine!!! consider yourself lucky!!! i hate driving here now, i mean they just keep finding new ways to put 200-300 hp in cars that are getting cheaper and cheaper and bringing up the limits on their top speed and all the governments are doign is reducing limits and upping the fines *rant* ... so f*** the politicians that pass stupid laws

 

Here in NY they can arrest you for 25mph over, take your license, jail you, and impound your car. It's rare for them to actually do that, but they can. Now, if you're doing 25 over and driving like a *******, weaving through traffic, etc, then you're jacking up your odds of a ride in a police cruiser.

 

So let me get this straight. You admit to doing 85 in a 55! You deserve the ticket just as I have everytime I have been caught speeding. Suck it up and take the ticket. fight the difference in speed with the courts but it's pretty much his word against yours and you've already admitted to speeding. It sucks to get a ticket but the cops are there to protect other people that are going the speed limit or even walking for whatever reason.They are only doing their jobs.

yeah man a lot of places they'll arrest you for going over 100 and book you for reckless endangerment. cops can be cool, but a lot can be real d1cks.
