fuel costs up again and no excuse but greed
hey.. sure its a dicey business.. if i had the resourcees i prob would get in on that business... And if theyre not gouging explain the huge jumps in profits to well beyond their previous records, the numbers dont lie.. They have planned and their supply is fine, there is no reason to be jacking prices way up.
And if it was my business.. of course i would want to maximize my profits. but i would also want to be fair about it and not want to take advantage of people in poor situations. when youre in somewhat of a monoply situation you have a obligations to the citizens(customers) to do right by them.

People pay money to buy gas. A company sell them gas to make money. The company raises the price to make more money. The customer wants the price lowered to save money. Who is the greedy one?
i already covered that in my last post and i still stand by that. Im not greedy for not wanting to be taken advantage of for something i need to get through my daily life. now i already know the arguments that will come against that statement, like you dont NEED gas, use alternative fuel... mode of transportation etc.. but right now its the primary source for majority of people and they do need to develop better methods of alternative fuel, but that day is not now and the oil companies are taking advantage of that.
That "alternative fuel" will screw up your car. Ethanol blows donkey dicks. Pop some biodiesel in the Audi and see how things go.
Let's not let the eco-facists ruin motoring.
I don't know why Allah put all of my gas under their sand, but by God, I'm gonna git it.

couldnt agree more.. And i live in like the ethanol capital... des moines.. other areas being minnesota.. They push it so hard here I cant stand the $#!+... Its terrrible for your enginges. I swear people around here are brainwashed... They think its the newest thing since sliced bread. "look at the money im saving on my gas cause its cheaper.." yet dont realize theyre less mpg theyre getting doesnt offset that cost. And ruining their engine. My brother is a boat mechanic up in minnesota and he cant even begin to tell me how many boats come in that arent working right because the fuel filter is clogged with $#!+ from the ethanol. We used to have problems with our jet skis quite frequently..(using a 10%blend as its about all you can get around without extra effort and money) now we found aplace with a 92 non oxy... Havent had problems since.. you tell me which gas sucks.
However my main point was.. We need to at least IMPROVE on the alternative fuels.. Even if its not AS effective it will atleast help gas prices..competition never hurts.

One aspect of alternative and/or hydrogen fuels that is COMPLETELY overlooked, and irrationally ignored by the Eco-terrorists is how my normal petrol goes into CONVERTING biomass into fuel, and how much goes into converting whatever into Hydorgen. Even electric isnt free. We burn coal, and oil, to create the electricity (in case you're not convinced aout the oi prt, ask youeself HOW the coal is transported. Trains and trucks burn diesel, right?). Whenever people start spouting nonsense about Bio-fuels, and hydrogen, and electricity as a way to "wean" ourselves OFF foreign oil, I always check to see if their "solution" addresses these breaks in their thinking. I have YET to hear of ANYONE who has tackled these items head-on. ALL of them, so far, side-step the point by saying "future technologies" will address those concerns, IF they bother trying to address them at all. UNTIL someone can solve the transport problem, as well as the fuels used up in the actual conversion, ANYone who wants to sing the praises of biodeisel, and hydrogen, and electric cars can ALL suck my *** til it don't taste, anymore. <---said in the most loving, caring way possible
haha that was quite the rant and i agree. And i say untill then those future technologies oil companies have obligation to teh citizens to not take advantage.
Anyone with with goods to sell will price them at whatever the market will bear - fact of life in a capitalist society, and is also what makes it possible for anyone to aspire to whatever class of society that their abilities and luck enables them to.
Where oil gets messed up is that it is also a worlwide political hot potatoe, and that too small a number of producers control the production and distribution. Free market forces are not being left alone to decide the price. (I'm not going to claim that this means prices everywhere are higher than they should be - gas has probably always been underpriced in the U.S.).

Have you done any research into how much money the big oil companies are makeing every year? You could do a little math and see what their costs at the pump are and get an idea of % profit. Or take a look at their fiscal earnings over the past sever years/quartes and see whats going on there. After all that is done and being the sound financial expert all Americans are, you would see a great investment opportunity. Then being a savvy entrepreneur you would jump on the boat and leach $$ from a capatialist pig of a company through a little thing called the stockmarket.
Meh, too much work.
IMO vending machines are a much larger problem.
assume 5.99 per 24 case 12oz cans of mt. dew at grocery store
thats 288oz = 2.25 gallons for 5.99 @ 2.66$/gal almost as much as a gallon of gas a few months ago.
The vending machine at work.
$1.00 for 20oz bottle.
6.4 bottles per gallon
$6.4/gal
~150% mark up to open a refrigerater and fill it up every day. Hmmm, maybe I should buy a vending machine....
P.S. I would love to see gas prices lowered like they were when i was in highschool but gas is by no means a large portion of my budget, so I'll live with it and just buy less pop. You see they just want you to be a healthy American so they gouge gas prices.
