Okay I'm sold on the GPS capabilities - I was originally leaning to the Bell STi because of the metal housing - out here in Bako - it's currently 118 degrees and detectors in plastic cases don't fair well inside hot cars with this heat. They last about 2 months to be exact... lol...

Having covered parking here at work and a garage at home I think it might survive better now... [8D]

 

I just pull mine out of the window and place it in a thick wool sock when not in use. It stores well in the glove box, under the seat, or in my briefcase. It was cooking across the Mojave and I was surprise that it kept working well. It was a little hot, but not excessive. I definitely wouldn't leave it cooking in the window while the air conditioning was off.

Unreal... I just got pulled over tonight again!!! Just a warning though... I was doing 10 over. Maybe that radar detector IS necessary?

 

DEFINTLY necessary!!! ive got a little $98 steel eye detector that has saved me from over 5 tickets so far. very good invesment if you ask me.

just ask chef when we were all going up to SLO....100+ mph for id say about 10-15 miles with a cop at thevery end.....my Ka band was going absolutely NUTZ when we were starting to go over the bend. luckily he had his head down doing paperwork as 10 audis and a miata sped past his sorry *** haha
