by an old cop car (crown vic). . .FWD wheel spin really sucks and not having even a chip yet I guess I shouldn't be surprised but I figured I could make up for the almost 100 hp difference by having stick shift and somewhat lighter weight. Can't wait to save up for a chip and some FAT rims to avoid this wheel spin bullshit.

 

A chip is definately key... stock A4s are slow as hell even with a stick. The rims should help out with the tire spin even tho its not quattro... I wish I had quattro, I am in the same position you are. I think I'm going to go with APR, what chip are looking at?

audi has the same thing its called "your quattro" and mine gets me in trouble sometimes.

That sucks... I just got back from killing a Honda Accord 4cyl. w/body kit and 4 inch single exhaust tip on stock muffler... He was pretty much asking for it.

 

Not lookin at anythign right now, I'm not going to be able to afford anything until next summer when I do co-op again. Gotta focus on school this year. I would have baught a quattro but I didn't have the money for it, I got a really good deal for this car as it is.

Considering I can't even beat a crown vic right now it's a good thing I didn't want to race my friend's bimmer. 2000 323i 170 hp with rwd. I'm hopin with a chip and some wide rims I'll be able to take him out next summer.

 

its ok I got owned by an M3 last weekend, I didnt want to race but he was being a tool, so i did, acutally there was 3 of us, an m3 my a4 and a tt, the m3 had me by a few car lengths and i had the tt by a few car lengths, but we were flying down 91 towards springfield right after the comuter lain opens up to a 4th lane.. it was sweet, took it up to 130 and then backed off the tt flew by me but i didnt want to go any faster..

owned was a good word choice since an m3 will beat an S4 by half a lenth or so, not much though.. the S4 will OWN the M3 in the turns and slalom though

 

no more burning on fwd audis, they arent as bad as they seem. i love mine
