Got my car back today, plus some free oil
I picked my car up yesterday in Houston, and the first thing I saw was oil or something all over the hood, roof, windshield, and both passenger doors and windows. It was all crusty and hard cuz it had sat on it for so long. So I went to the car wash and tried to wash it off, and some of it came off, but all the spots on the rubber and plastic trim, and the windows left little irredescent splatter spots. Guess its time to call the shipping company and raise hell. I paid them to have it shipped on TOP so that that wouldnt happen. After that it was a 430 mile trip back to OK that went pretty well.
WOW, sorry to hear that man. However, for that distance, I would have paid a little extra to have it shipped inside a box... IMO, that's the only way to go when shipping a vehical. But yes, call and rais hell, that shouldn't have happened if it was shipped on the top of everything...
Good luck! Keep us posted.

Yeah, I wanted to crate it, but at the time I didnt have the money with everything else I had to buy. But I figured inside a boat on the top it would be safe. I am gonna try to clean it up really good today and hope that will remove it. I would rather do that than have to give it up again another few days.
Sorry to hear that. Everytime I hear a story about transporting a car, it has some bad end to it. I know a guy that was transporting a low mileage car that he bought inside one of those trucks and they managed to lower the top floor ramp onto his car and dented the hell out of it. Anyway, I hope you get the oil off.

Uhhhh, yeah, don't do that. It will eat away at your clear coat. But yes, Simple Green would work wonders.
