The confusion gets worse when your talking about a Gray Horse, which is white in color and Grey the color.

That is what i was allways lead to believe.

Gray=name or color of a horse that is white in appearance

Grey is the color, or the limey way.

well according to Dictionary.com its either or.. so maybe we need to track down the history of the word and its origin hmmm

I'm pretty positive grey is british spelling, and Gray is US spelling... As silver says, gray is a color, and grey is a colour...
