I say they are too cheap to buy it for the Dept. rifles so they don't want us having it and then the other guys crying cuz they don't have it!
Just consider the possibility that you might hit something that you might see with peripheral vision while not spotting through a scope. So maybe not so BS.

I think you should be trained to shoot out to 300 yards with or without optics. But i think red/green dots make it easier and and quicker. on eotech and aimpoint you can get 0 magnification without limiting your peripheral vision. im no gun expert but that still just seems strange. chocalotstarfish, are you on swat? did you replace the shotgun with the ar?

It's easy to "two eye shoot" also. I do it a lot when hunting with a red dot so I can see what else is going on

The green dot I have is a x0. No we don't have "SWAT" we just have 2 of us that if we were needed we are cert. to carry our own and can respond on scene without needing a crusier! When in my car I have A LOT of firearms! Inside the car is My duty and backup, Mossberg 12g and my AR. In the truck I have "Less Lethal shotgun" mossberg 12g with 2 bags and 2 sets of rubbers!

And before you ask if this is overkill go ahead and read this! This was my 1st day on the job "3 of 10 new officers were on scene" I was one of those 3! We have a large amount of Militia and "Freedom" people!

I don't believe in over kill lol. in my room i have my sig p239 with an extra mag, h&k usp ct and an extra mag and my ar with a few mags. only thing that isnt semi ready to use is my long gun, a rem 700, only because its worthless in protecting my place.

Duude I live in CALIFORNIA..... the gun laws are soo retarted and strict here....
And yea ive always wanted a real hK mp-5...
Too me it is the sexiest assault rifle....

Yea now I'm just looking into a collapsible stock and a red or green dot sight...
